The Association of Women in Trade and Agriculture (AWITA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization in Nigeria focused on promoting women’s economic empowerment, gender equality, and participation in trade and agriculture. AWITA achieves its mission through advocacy, capacity building, and strategic engagements, aiming to enhance women’s roles in agribusiness value chains. Its activities include training programs, workshops, and partnerships to support women entrepreneurs and farmers, fostering sustainable agricultural development and economic inclusion. AWITA is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) under CAC/IT/NO.131030 (2019) and with the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) under RC: SC 151413758 (2021).
