Dangote Flour Mills Plc, a former subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited, was a leading wheat milling and pasta manufacturing company in Nigeria, founded in 1999. With mills in Apapa, Ikorodu, Ilorin, Kano, and Calabar, it had a total installed capacity of 5,000 metric tons per day. The company produced high-quality flour, semolina, and pasta under brands like Dangote All Purpose Flour and Dangote Spaghetti, contributing to Nigeria’s food security. In 2019, it was acquired by Crown Flour Mills Ltd (Olam International) for N120 billion due to its reliance on imported wheat, which conflicted with Dangote Group’s focus on local value addition. Delisted from the NSE on November 18, 2019, its operations are now integrated into Crown Flour Mills, which continues to produce Dangote-branded products. The acquisition doubled Olam’s milling capacity, making it Nigeria’s largest wheat miller.
